Izumo City of Shimane prefecture is having Ireland Week every year. This
is a report by Yoko who participated the event.

Kanto Celts and Japan GAA lady's team went to Izumo on the 22nd and 23rd
of May for friendly matches.
Izumo city is holding "Ireland Week" every May commemorating
Irish team's camp for 2002 FIFA World Cup and the city was hosting several
events with Irish theme.

On the 22nd, there was a football (soccer) tournament among three teams,
Kanto Celts, Izumo team, and Nakatsue team, who hosted Cameroon national
team during World Cup.
This year, there was a lady's football game and Onnabelivable from Tokyo
and Izumo lady's team had an exciting game.

On the 23rd, a half-day Gaelic Football workshop was held by Japan GAA
club and the club members taught rules and basic moves of Gaelic football
to local students. And also there was an exhibition game and we all enjoyed
it.
