The 7th St. Patrick's Day Parade

 


A big green crowd of Japanese and local foreigners will parade through Ise City. Oyster Event (Free Tasting & competition for kids and adults) will be held afterwards.

The 8th St. Patrick's Day Parade

 

About 300 people in green are going to parade for introducing Ireland to Japanese people. Irish music and dance will be performed on a stage in Kyoto city office plaza. It will be followed by a Irish music session at an Irish Pub, The Hills of Tara.

Kumamoto is a place where Irish writer, Lafcadio Hearn worked as a teacher in 1890s. This year, Jieitai band (Japan Ground Self-Defense Force the 8th Band) will join the parade.
